About Bama Rama 500

The US Naval Academy Class of 1983 started cycling nationwide, raising funds to support other veterans needing our help. They modeled this effort for the following classes - and for all we meet on the journey - and the power of the moral, mental, and physical mission of the US Naval Academy. Their goal is to raise $1.983 million in ten years to support organizations that serve veterans, give back to those who have given so much, get fitter, and make new friends while having fun!


This year, they are riding in Alabama for the 2024 BamaRama500 - going from Huntsville, AL, on October 4, 2024, and arriving in Gulf Shores, AL, on October 13, 2024. During this ride, they seek to raise $250k to help raise awareness of veteran suicide and other veteran causes.
