Roeding park is one of the four largest regional city parks in Fresno County. This 90 acre park includes a lake, several ponds and picnic areas. It is also home to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and Storyland and Playland Amusement Parks.

The 12th Annual Lady Apache Invitational is a premier girls wrestling tournament hosted by Sanger Wrestling at Sanger High School. Taking place January 16–17, 2027, this two-day event brings together top junior varsity and varsity wrestlers from across the region for a competitive showcase of skill and sportsmanship.
