The Tallahassee Chess Fest is intended to be the largest gathering of the chess community in North Florida. As in previous years, we plan to invite two Grandmasters to lead instructional and exhibition activities, including blitz matches with live commentary streamed online, simultaneous exhibitions with attendees, and educational lectures accompanied by projected visuals. The live-streamed Grandmaster matches proved especially popular during the 2025 and 2026 festivals, particularly among younger audiences, significantly expanding the event's reach beyond those attending in person.



One full day of the festival will be dedicated to USCF-rated Quick and Blitz tournaments for players of varying skill levels. In addition, we will once again host a chess-themed film screening in the IMAX Theatre at the Challenger Learning Center. Previous screenings have included \*Searching for Bobby Fischer\* and \*Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine\*, both of which were well received by attendees. Throughout the festival, a variety of demonstrations, interactive exhibits, and hands-on activities will be offered to educate, challenge, and entertain chess enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels.
