About MeSA Soccer Complex

A PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP
Carolina Elite Soccer Academy (CESA) purchased 42 acres of the property you are standing on now to develop a soccer complex in 1993. With borrowed funds and thousands of volunteer hours, just two years later the 10-field MeSA Complex opened to much fanfare. After all, having soccer great, Pelé, at a grand opening qualifies as ‘much fanfare,’ right? Since then, MeSA has emerged as the largest, privately-funded soccer facility in the Southeast.

As the organization grew into a sports tourism powerhouse, Greenville County Rec partnered with CESA and in 2005 19 more acres were purchased to develop fields 11 through 16. With a generous grant from the State of South Carolina, CESA and Greenville County Rec purchased additional property in 2014 for future expansion to keep up with demand. Together, CESA and Greenville County Rec serve local, regional, and national youth soccer players, their families, and the community.

PUBLIC USE
Greenville County Rec and CESA have worked together to bring tournaments to MeSA Soccer Complex while providing the community with public recreation offerings including 2 playgrounds and a ¾ mile walking trail. Fields are not open to the public. This ensures the fields are in good shape for practice, games, and tournaments. Please enjoy the walking trail and playgrounds whenever the park is open.

16 full sized lighted rectangular fields, 2 concession stands, 2 bathroom facilities, 2 playgrounds, meeting facilities, Wi-fi internet access.
