Fortland

This 16 acre campground and event venue on the grounds of historic Fort Scammel on House Island in Casco Bay, Fortland, is just a 10 minute boat ride from downtown Portland, ME. It includes seven beautifully furnished camping sites (3 yurts and 4 tent cabins), as well composting toilet outhouses, an outdoor cooking area, a 40’ diameter event tent, 40,000 sq feet of historic civil war era architecture, and epic panoramic views of Portland harbor and the calendar islands. Fortland is open seasonally for camping and event rentals (weddings, retreats, reunions) from June through early October.
