2025 Pacific Nations Cup Coming to Sacramento

Sacramento was recently announced as one of three USA host cities for the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup, an international rugby competition featuring men’s national teams from the United States, Canada, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, and Tonga. Sacramento will host the United States vs Japan match on September 6, 2025, at Heart Health Park. Tickets are now on sale to the general public and can be purchased here. Other USA host cities include Denver and Salt Lake City.

The match in Sacramento is part of a pool play format in which all six countries get to host a match on their home soil. At the conclusion of pool play, teams advance to a knockout stage in which the top three teams (minus Fiji and Japan, who have already qualified) will qualify for the 2027 World Rugby Cup in Australia.

Heart Health Park in Sacramento is a premier sports and entertainment venue situated within the Cal Expo fairgrounds and has become a sought-after destination for a wide range of events due to its versatile design and infrastructure. The stadium is home to Sacramento Republic FC, a USL pro soccer team, and has a seating capacity of approximately 12,000.
