Another weekend featuring a variety of sports in Auburn-Opelika!

The Go Nuts Bike Racing event took over Chewacla State Park, featuring thrilling races like Some Like It Nuts XC and a race for young bikers in collaboration with Little Hammies. The race had over 30 different categories, and all points counted toward national rankings with USA Cycling. The trail spanned five miles with a 612-foot elevation change.

At the James E. Martin Aquatics Center, U.S. Masters Swimming hosted the 2024 Southeast Zone SCY Championships and Auburn SCY Invitational, attracting over 150 registered swimmers. The event included races for every stroke and different distances across multiple age groups.

Meanwhile, the Auburn University Disc Golf Club excelled at the Chains on the Plains Disc Golf Tournament in Opelika’s Spring Villa Disc Golf Course. The tournament drew participation from over 20 teams representing schools nationwide, with Mississippi State securing the championship and the D1 bid.
