Summer has returned, and with it returns festival season, a time for family, friends, and fun. Flint & Genesee is home to great festivals and events that will fill your summer season with memories and laughter, and keep you busy until the fall.
This year’s theme for SummerFest is the celebration of America’s 250th birthday, with a parade, carnival, live music, family fun, and a beer tent.
The rodeo returns with a celebration of Black cowboy culture. You’ll find competitions in steer wrestling, ladies’ barrel racing, relay races, bull riding, and more.
Catch Zang on June 12, Klay N’ the Mud on June 13, Weekend Comeback on June 17, and Trixy Tang on June 24 in downtown Flushing.
Head to Flint’s Cultural Center to view and purchase art from around the region, featuring painting, yard art, crafts, and photography, to name a few styles you’ll see.
