Feels like Home……All the Time!
Festival organizers from The City of Brownwood successfully hosted its inaugural edition of Feels Like Home Festival this past weekend in Brownwood, Texas while welcoming 4,000+ attendees from all over the Lone Star State to enjoy the incredible music, food, and culture of rural Texas.
With an emphasis on uplifting classic Texas traditions and country music, Feels Like Home Festival welcomed Dripping Springs’ own Midland to headline the first-ever festival; with additional performances from chart-topper Casey Donahew; rock-and-country savants Micky and the Motorcars; acclaimed singer-songwriter Tyler Halverson, who recently created the song “New Loop” for the blockbuster film Twisters; and rising star Hudson Westbrook, who grew up just an hour away from Brownwood.
If the chart-topping country music wasn’t enough, Feels Like Home Festival also welcomed a mouthwatering and carefully curated selection of craft barbecue joints for fans to devour onsite, all of which are based in the Lone Star State. Among the acclaimed smokehouses and celebrity pitmasters represented were Hurtado Barbecue, Hill City Chop House, Pody’s BBQ, Olmos BBQ, and Victorian’s Barbecue, each of whom had the cure for onsite hunger pains as fans two-stepped the day away.
Fans also had the chance to explore immersive art installations and activations from sponsors including cornhole and giant pong from Beatbox; the Unite d States Marine Corps‘ battle position activation; and Hendricks Health‘s hydration station, among many others; while enjoying free main stage giveaways and prizes courtesy of the festival’s many sponsors.
Plus, native Texan Chet “The Day Tripper” Garner served as the official emcee for the event.
The all-ages celebration on October 19 felt like a family reunion for country music lovers from across the Lone Star State, while cementing Brownwood as the hottest new go-to destination for Texans longing for a perfect weekend getaway.
