
Mid-year check and already Frisco has hosted top talent, international powerhouses, leading ladies, and the next generation of sports stars. Known as Sports City USA, Frisco, Texas features the facilities, hotels, and offsites for a successful event in a convenient location just north of Dallas.

In January 2025, the FCS Championship trophy was once again hoisted in Frisco as the North Dakota State Bison defeated Montana State under the lights at Toyota Stadium. Weeks later international tennis greats took over Ford Center at The Star in Frisco in February for nine days of competition during the ATP 500 Dallas Open. The venue flipped for gymnastics to host the WOGA Classic and Valeri Liukin Invitational to round out the month. March teed up a special weekend of 48 NFL players facing off on the links at PGA Frisco during THE PRO FTB.

The action never stops in Frisco. Next up was ice hockey in April when the IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship came to Frisco with players from ten countries skating in a best-on-best tournament. The world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys turned into the country music capital for a week in May. The 60th Academy of Country Music Awards brought music, celebrity, and thousands of fans together to celebrate in style at The Star. In June women’s sports took center stage. Women’s National Football Conference Championship Weekend in Frisco brought an All-Pro game, Championship game, and youth and adult flag showcases at Ford Center. And, the best female golfers in the world competed for their place in golf history at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at Fields Ranch in Frisco.
The year may be half way behind us but there’s more events ahead. From Dallas Cowboys training camp in August and Banana Ball in September to post-season football in December, Frisco is hosting like a champ.
