The 5th Annual Sports Tourism Symposium brought together nearly 300 sports industry professionals, community leaders, and partners on June 17 at America First Field for a day centered around the continued growth of sports tourism in Utah.
Attendees heard from an incredible lineup of speakers who shared insights on the partnerships, opportunities, and momentum driving the industry forward. Panel discussions explored how Sandy has established itself as one of the nation’s premier sports destinations through strategic investment, collaboration, and top-tier facilities. Conversations also highlighted the continued growth of soccer across Utah, from the youth level to professional clubs and international events, and the significant impact the sport has had on the state’s economy and communities.

The Symposium also showcased the growing momentum behind women’s sports in Salt Lake and the lasting legacy being created through increased investment, major events, and expanded opportunities for female athletes. The day concluded with a look toward the future as industry leaders discussed Utah’s continued Olympic and Paralympic journey and how the state is building on its reputation as a world-class destination for hosting premier sporting events for years to come.
