Meet Chicago Northwest Announces Jonah Exline as New Sales Account Executive

SCHAUMBURG, Ill. — MARCH 18, 2025 – Meet Chicago Northwest (MCNW), the official convention and visitors bureau for the northwest suburbs of Chicago, has announced the hiring of Jonah Exline as its new Sales Account Executive.

Exline, a northwest suburban native, brings a strong background in hotel sales, event planning and business development. Most recently, he served as sports, association and SMERF (social, military, educational, religious and fraternal) Sales Manager at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, where he negotiated and secured over 100 agreements. He also previously served as Executive Meeting and Sales Manager at the Renaissance Des Moines Savery Hotel. In his new role at MCNW, Exline will focus on sales in sports, religion, military and other hobby groups.

About Jonah Exline
Jonah comes to Meet Chicago Northwest with a strong background in hotel sales, event planning, and business development. With experience in the social, military, educational, religious, and fraternal (SMERF) markets, he is passionate about helping organizations find the perfect venue in the Chicago Northwest region.

Previously, Jonah worked as the SMERF Sales Manager at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg. His time there allowed him to develop strong relationships with event organizers and gain firsthand experience working with the region’s hospitality community.

Jonah holds a Bachelor of Science in Event Management from Iowa State University and has worked in various hospitality roles, from hotel sales to event planner. As a Streamwood native, he knows the area well and is excited to help groups discover all that the Chicago Northwest region has to offer.
