The 4th Annual Palace City Mountain Bike is excited to present to you our 2025 race on June 21, 2025 in Mitchell, SD!
Whether a new or advanced rider or you are looking for something for the entire family to participate in the Palace City Mountain Bike Classic has something for everyone!
Hosted on the Palace City Pedalers 18 plus miles of Lake Mitchell Single Track the Palace City Mountain Bike Classic is a must attend race in Eastern, South Dakota.
Any off-road bike type is welcome: MTB, fat tire, CX, gravel, etc. New in 2025 we are adding a Class 1 E-Bike Race- no throttles! E-bikes will be checked before race begins. Helmets are mandatory.
Race Information:
Rider Social & Packet Pickup – June 20, 2025 6:30 pm Palace City Brewing
Number and Packet Pickup will be available Saturday morning at Camp Arroya Trailhead beginning at 7 am for those unable to make Friday Night
8:30 Youth 10 & Under and Youth 6 & Under Races Kick Off
8:45 am – Race meeting
9:00 am – Races begin- wave start- Class 1 E-Bikes will leave in the first wave
Lake Mitchell North Trail Loop
Award presentation immediately following last finishers. Cash Prizes awarded in all classes: 15 or less riders in class= Cash 3 Deep, Over 15 riders in class=Cash 5 Deep, If 3 or less riders in a class, prize will be awarded. No cash prizes will be awarded for Youth classes. Youth classes will be awarded prizes for Top 3 places 15 riders or less and Top 5 15 riders or more.

Mitchell Sports and Events Authority
The Sports & Events Authority promotes and sells the Mitchell community, its facilities and accommodations to the sports and events marketplace for the purpose of bringing a variety of events to Mitchell, in order to improve the quality of life in the Mitchell region and to further the Mitchell economy. The Sports & Events Authority Advisory Committee reviews funding applications from organizations that are interested in bringing new events, or expanding existing events in the Mitchell community; focusing on those events that will increase overnight hotel stays in the Mitchell community. Meetings are typically held on the second Tuesday of the month at 2pm in City Hall - Council Chambers.
