The Heat, Chili Pepper, Wishful Thinking, Twizzler, Nighty Night, Lever Action, Uncorked, Fireball, White Out and Razzmatazz — no, those aren’t types of food or beverages. Instead, they’re names of just a few of the relentless bulls that the Professional Bull Riders Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour showcased at Angel Of The Winds Arena from Feb. 13-14.
The bulls had one objective, and they met it quite often: buck the rider off as quickly as possible. The riders also had a plan, it just didn’t succeed very often: saddle up, hang on for eight seconds, and once you fall off, get out of the way and run to the side.
In most sports, eight seconds isn’t much time to throw a touchdown or shoot a buzzer-beater. But in the sport of bull riding, eight seconds feels like minutes, especially when the gate opens and you find yourself balancing on the back of a 1,200+ pound animal going up, down, left and right. And for the second-consecutive year, PBR provided this type of experience for Snohomish County eventgoers.
Below are the results from the weekend, including the top-three riders and bulls. Interested in witnessing the bull riding environment? Go to pbr.com to purchase tickets and learn more about the sport.
