Recap: 2026 USA Artistic Swimming Classic Invitational

The USA Artistic Swimming (USAAS) Classic Invitational hasn’t been held in Washington state since 2024, and that year it was in Tacoma. However, this year for the first time in USAAS history, the Classic Invitational finally dipped into Snohomish County. Hosted by the Seattle Synchronized Swim Team, the event was held at the Snohomish Aquatic Center from March 21-22, and it featured more than 150 participants from six clubs, all traveling from Washington, Oregon, Colorado and British Columbia, Canada.

The Classic Invitational came six months after USAAS brought its Rising Star Camp to the area, which served as a springboard for young athletes to be selected to the All Star Camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that November, thus beginning the partnership between USAAS and the Snohomish County Sports Commission.

The Snohomish Aquatic Center, a 52,000-square-foot facility, provides a 25-yard-by-25-meter competition pool with 10 six-inch lanes and two 1-meter diving boards, and it’s also been the site for high school swim and dive meets, U.S. Masters Swimming events and the 2018 FlowRider FLOW Tour.

Next year, the Classic Invitational will return to Oregon where it was held in 2025.
