Sacramento Making a Splash as a Swimming Event Destination

Coming off the heels of the 2025 Southwest Age Group Regional Championships (SWAGR) in March, Sacramento continues the momentum this year with two more exciting swim events coming to the North Natomas Aquatics Complex in April and another this summer.

The 2025 TYR Pro Series comes to town for a premier competitive swimming event April 2-5, 2025. Organized by USA Swimming and sponsored by TYR, the series serves as a key platform for nearly 300 elite swimmers to showcase their skills, break records, and qualify for major competitions. It features high-level competition, attracting top-tier swimmers from around the world. The series is also a popular venue for fans to see the sport’s biggest names in action.

The following week, the 2025 Pacific Masters Short Course Yards Championships (SCY Champs) returns to Sacramento for its second year in a row at the North Natomas Aquatics Complex and will feature an estimated 800 participants. Organized by Sacramento Masters Swimming, a U.S. Masters Swimming club since 1970, this event is the culmination of the short course yards swim season on the west coast.

USA Swimming will bring its Futures Championships back to Sacramento for the third year in a row, July 23-26, 2025. This regional event is open to all swimmers who are members of USA Swimming with qualifying times and gives them an opportunity to qualify for national-level competitions. An estimated 800 swimmers are expected to compete during the event.

The North Natomas Aquatics Complex features both a 25-yard pool and a 50-meter pool, on-site parking and locker rooms. The complex also offers multi-purpose spacing for events including a spacious ballroom, warming kitchen and private dressing room in the adjacent North Natomas Community Center. Spectators attending events at the complex can enjoy a covered grandstand with seating capacity of 1,200.
