Seven Days of Elite Basketball: UAA Finals & The One Six Take Over Wintrust Sports Complex
For seven straight days, Wintrust Sports Complex in Bedford Park, Illinois became the epicenter of grassroots basketball. The Under Armour Association (UAA) Boys High School Finals, followed immediately by the middle school showcase “The One Six,” brought together top-tier talent, elite teams, and hundreds of college coaches for a high-energy, high-impact experience like no other.
Returning to our facility for the third time in four years, the UAA Finals featured the nation’s premier high school programs competing for championships in the 15U, 16U, and 17U divisions. The level of play was elite, with fast-paced, physical, and emotionally charged games that lived up to the hype.
Each division crowned a champion — and every game carried the weight of national ranking, college recruitment, and grassroots pride. The competition was intense from start to finish, with courts packed and energy at a constant high across all three days of the high school event.
The impact extended far beyond the game itself. Over 450 college coaches were in attendance — representing some of the biggest names in Division I basketball. From national powerhouses to mid-major programs, coaches lined the sidelines to evaluate, recruit, and connect with the next wave of basketball talent.
But the action didn’t stop there.
Immediately following the UAA Finals, The One Six middle school showcase tipped off, bringing in some of the most talented and promising players in the 6th through 8th grades. For three more days, the gym stayed packed with intense matchups, growing fan buzz, and a sense of excitement for the future of the sport.
In total, seven consecutive days of elite basketball turned our venue into a recruiting hub, a championship stage, and a community gathering point. Players, families, coaches, and college programs from across North America converged in Bedford Park — bringing energy to local hotels, restaurants, and the surrounding Chicago Southland region.
