Ron Jon Beach ‘n Boards Fest honored as a 2023 Champion of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism

(Cocoa Beach, FL) – Sports Destination Management, the leading publication with the largest circulation of sports event planners and tournament directors in the sports tourism market, has announced the 2023 Champions of Economic Impact in Sports Tourism. This year’s winners are responsible for contributing a more-than-welcome boost of over $932 million to the national economy over the past year.

Among the winners was the Ron Jon Beach ‘n Boards Fest. Held in Cocoa Beach, Florida, the Ron Jon Beach ‘n Boards Fest is the nation’s largest active lifestyle spring break sporting event. The festival hosts Florida’s most prestigious pro surfing contests, as well as its largest tournaments for high school girl’s volleyball and for kayak fishing. The 2023 festival drew more than 40,000 attendees and produced an estimated $1.5 million of economic impact.
