Starting on Tuesday, June 10th-Friday, June 13th, the Highland Conference Center will be hosting the South Dakota Association of Assessing Officers Conference (SDAAO). The Highland Conference Center is conveniently located next to Interstate 90, and connected to the Hampton Inn (75 rooms) and Comfort Inn & Suites (72 rooms).
Get ready for the wildest showdown in the Wild West as cowboy fast draw shooters from all over the country will arrive in Mitchell, SD at the Mitchell Gun Club from Thursday, June 12th-Sunday, June 15th for the Powderhorn Ranch Regulators Outlaw Gauntlet Shoot. This promises to be a fun-filled weekend of shooting, cash prizes, trophies, and NINE guns, along with silent auctions, good food, music, games, and much more!
Then to kick of the weekend, on Friday, June 13th, the 22nd Annual Mitchell Chamber Golf Classic (3-person scramble) will be held at Lakeview Municipal Golf Course AND “Locals helping locals going through cancer treatment” starting at 6:00 PM is the annual Mitchell Heart and Sole Cancer Walk at Hitchcock Park.
Next, this is definitely a HIT, Cadwell Sports Complex and Cadwell Park Stadium will be the host site(s) for two baseball tournaments… The annual Harve Johnston/Bryan Wilson Memorial Youth Baseball Tournament on Saturday, June 14th-Sunday, June 15th. And on June 14th, get your lawn chair and rally hats as the Cadwell Park Stadium will be hosting the 1st Annual Blarney’s Amateur Baseball Classic.
GOOOOOAAAALLLL! Get ready for the ultimate soccer showdown at the Palace City Cup, happening on June 14th and 15th, 2025, at the state-of-the-art fields of the Pepsi Cola Soccer Complex! U9-U19 teams and players from all over South Dakota will competing to showcase their skills and lead their respective team to victory at the Palace City Cup.
Archaeology Day at the Village, Saturday, June 14th starting at 9 AM. The fun-filled event will showcase technologies used by the original inhabitants of the Village, including flint knapping, atlatl throwing and other on-site demonstrations.
And for all those music lovers, the Mitchell Area Community Theatre will be hosting an ELVIS Tribute on Saturday, June 14th from 7:30-9:00 PM. Joseph Hall, born in 1984 has been paying tribute to the legacy of Elvis Presley since 2006.
