The best champions don’t rest on their laurels – they keep getting better. That’s what sets Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, apart from the rest. You can’t beat The Beach – not with its 60 miles of beaches, world-class fields and facilities, and top-of-the-league fun. Additional upgrades are further cementing its position as one of the best places to host a sporting event.

The most extensive update is the expansion of the North Myrtle Beach Park and Sports Complex. Ninety acres are being added, including new soccer and lacrosse fields, baseball and softball diamonds, walking trails, freshwater ponds, play structures and picnic tables. After the update, the complex will feature a total of 12 diamonds and 13 fields.
The team at the Styers Athletic Complex recently renovated two recreational baseball diamonds to meet tournament-level venue standards — bringing their total number of fields to 11. The updates add two natural grass diamonds to the complex’s collection of nine multipurpose synthetic turf fields.

Construction began this fall in North Myrtle Beach at the J. Bryan Floyd Community Center for a brand-new pickleball complex. The new 15-court facility will take an estimated 18 months to complete; once finished, Central Park Pickleball Complex be the largest purpose-built complex in the area.
The Beach is constantly improving its facilities, accommodations and leisure offerings. To learn more about what’s going on in Myrtle Beach and to start planning your next event, connect with our Sports team at VisitMyrtleBeach.com/Sports.
