Tri-Cities Hosts Another Successful NWAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship at Columbia Basin College

What a run at the 2026 NWAC Basketball Championships! Teams from across the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) returned to Columbia Basin College (CBC) in Pasco for the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships, March 4–8 and 13 & 15. For the fourth consecutive year, the Tri-Cities welcomed the Northwest Athletic Conference’s top men’s and women’s teams for one of the most anticipated events of the collegiate basketball season.

The tournament brought together 32 teams, 16 men’s and 16 women’s programs, for a thrilling single-elimination format that began with the Sweet 16 and culminated in high-stakes Final Four and championship matchups. Over multiple days of competition, CBC’s Holden Court was filled with energy as student-athletes showcased elite talent, determination, and sportsmanship in front of packed crowds.

The championships concluded with standout performances from two deserving programs. On the men’s side, the Skagit Valley Cardinals claimed the NWAC title, while the Walla Walla Warriors captured the women’s championship, capping off an exciting two weeks of competition.

Beyond the action on the court, the event highlighted the Tri-Cities’ continued ability to successfully host large-scale sporting events. With strong community support, accessible facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere, the region once again proved to be an ideal destination for athletes, coaches, and fans alike.

Visit Tri-Cities is proud to support events like the NWAC Basketball Championships that bring economic impact, regional visibility, and memorable experiences to our community. We look forward to continuing our partnership with NWAC and Columbia Basin College in the years ahead.
