US Rowing Summer Nationals Success

The 2023 US Rowing Summer National Championships returned to Harsha Lake at East Fork Lake State Park from July 13 through 16. More than 1,400 athletes from 71 rowing clubs across 20 states, District of Columbia and Canada were represented in this year’s field. Hosted by the Clermont County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Championships was a four- day regatta to determine National Champions in the U16, U17, Youth, U23, and Open categories. This event was free and open for the general public to attend to enjoy a day of rowing competition on the lake.

Cincinnati is no stranger to championship regattas. Competitions are held at William H. Harsha Lake in East Fork State Park, which features a 2,000 meter, seven-lane buoyed course. Harsha Lake was also the home of USRowing Club National Championships from 2015-2017, USRowing Youth Nationals from 1995-2010, Big Ten Conference Sprint Invitational Regatta in 2021 and National Collegiate Rowing Championships from 1982-1996. In addition, this venue hosts the yearly Midwest Junior Championship and Cincinnati Junior Rowing Club High School Championship Regatta in the spring.
