<p>USA Hockey provides the foundation for the sport of ice hockey in America; helps young people become leaders, even Olympic heroes; and connects the game at every level while promoting a lifelong love of the sport.</p>



<p>USA Hockey was founded on Oct. 29, 1937, in New York City. The organization was known as the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States (AHAUS) and changed to its present name in June 1991.</p>



<p>Today, the organization is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.</p>
