USCAA Announces Ocean City for 2028 and 2031 National Conventions

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Convention is heading to Ocean City, Maryland. The association has reached an agreement with The Ashore Resort and Beach Club to host the event in 2028 and 2031. The 2028 National Convention will be held from June 11-13th.

Taking a trip to the “White Marlin Capital of the World” for the first time, the USCAA National Convention is an annual meeting of member institutions’ athletic directors, coaches, and administrators. The event includes guest speakers, professional development sessions, committee meetings, networking opportunities, sponsor and vendor displays, as well as social events.

Ocean City is known for its family-friendly beaches, a classic boardwalk with amusement parks like Trimper’s, arcades, and food and as the “White Marlin Capital of the World” due to its famous fishing tournaments like the White Marlin Open. It offers classic seaside fun with mini-golf, water sports, seafood, and free activities, attracting visitors with its quintessential East Coast summer atmosphere.

This destination aligns with the USCAA’s plan to diversify its National Convention sights with a three-year rotation between Northern, Mid-Atlantic and/or Midwestern, and Southern destinations.

Additional details on the 2028 Convention, including a full schedule of events and registration information, will be made available this Fall. The USCAA encourages all member institutions to send a representative to the National Convention.
