Utah Valley isn’t a destination hoping to prove it can host world-class events — it already has. Provo’s Peaks Ice Arena hosted women’s ice hockey and men’s preliminary rounds during the 2002 Winter Olympics and continues to serve athletes today. Nearly all 2002 Olympic venues across the region remain active, creating a foundation of proven infrastructure that will once again support the 2034 Winter Games.

Epic Sports Park in west Provo spans 100 acres with 21 multi-purpose fields and more than 1,700 parking stalls, creating the scale and flexibility needed for regional and national tournaments. Purpose-built for soccer, lacrosse, rugby, football, and ultimate, the complex allows multiple teams and divisions to compete efficiently in one centralized location. Provo Municipal Airport sits within the region itself, providing direct commercial service from Allegiant, Breeze, and American Airlines to nearly 20 destinations — giving regional teams and families an easy option for travel. For those coming from farther away, Salt Lake City International Airport is just 40 miles north, roughly a 45-minute drive, and provides nationwide and international connections. Summers are warm and dry rather than humid, which matters enormously for outdoor tournament play — fewer weather delays, more comfortable conditions for multi-day competition, and reliable field conditions with fewer weather disruptions and more reliable conditions for outdoor competition. Winters bring the snow that makes the region an Olympic winter sports market, while spring and fall stay mild enough to extend the outdoor season on both ends.
