Visit Mankato to Host 2025 Minnesota Senior Games, Invites Athletes Aged 50+ to Participate

MANKATO, MN – Visit Mankato is proud to announce that it will host the 2025 Minnesota Senior Games, marking the return of this statewide athletic competition to Mankato for the first time since 2022. Designed to motivate active adults to lead healthy lifestyles, the Minnesota Senior Games invites men and women aged 50 and over from across Minnesota to compete in a variety of sports, ranging from track and field and swimming to cycling, golf, pickleball, and more.

The 2025 Minnesota Senior Games will take place from Thursday, August 7th, through Sunday, August 10th, 2025. This annual event is a fantastic opportunity for seniors to engage in friendly competition, stay active, and connect with peers.

The Minnesota Senior Games is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a healthy and active lifestyle among adults aged 50+. Participants register according to their age as of December 31, 2025. While a statewide competition, the Games also attract athletes from all over the country.

Registration Information: The registration deadline for the 2025 MN Senior Games is Monday, July 21st, 2025.

• Individual Registration Fee: $55.00

• This fee includes participation in up to five sports (track & field and swimming are each considered one sport regardless of individual events within them).

• An additional fee of $5 per sport applies for competing in more than five sports.

Additional Sport-Specific Fees (paid on site unless otherwise noted):

• Bowling: $12 per event

• Golf: $35

• Cycling: $10 insurance fee (paid with registration)

Sports Offered Include: Badminton, 3 on 3 Basketball, Basketball Free Throw, Bowling, Cycling-Road Race, Cycling Time Trial, Golf, Pickleball, Power Walk, Race Walk, Running 5K/10K, Shuffleboard, Softball, Swimming, Table Tennis, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball. Medals will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age category. Area seniors aged 50 and older are strongly encouraged to register and join the excitement!
