When more than 1,000 trail runners set off to explore the UNESCO-listed Brenta Dolomites last weekend, it was at the shores of Lake Molveno where the village, families, old friends, and a larger community that care about the places we play showed how this region has become inseparable from the XTERRA story.
Roberto Failoni, Councillor for Sport and Tourism of the Autonomous Province of Trento, said, “Trentino once again proves itself to be an exceptional stage for international sport.” This is a reflection of how this destination has grown with XTERRA, creating incredible moments for trail runners and triathletes.
In less than a month, all eyes return to the Dolomites for off-road triathlon’s greatest week, with the 29th XTERRA World Championship and the second edition of the XTERRA Youth World Championship on September 27 and 28.
Special thanks to Luca D’Angelo at Visit Paganella Tourism Board and the team at Trentino Marketing, XTERRA Dolomiti Di Brenta Trail partners including Montura and Why Sport, the volunteers, alongside Molveno and Paganella communities for making lasting memories possible, with a month of much more still to come.
