The Chestnut Hall is located on the second floor of a brand-new building at the corner of Chestnut and Louisiana Streets in historic downtown McKinney, Texas. Its position above the street gives every event an elevated sense of occasion — quite literally. What was once a deteriorating structure deemed uninhabitable has been transformed by owners Ben and Alycia into a beautiful modern building featuring a stunning 3,000-square-foot event space and a captivating open-air balcony. The result is a venue that feels both fresh and rooted — contemporary in its design, yet completely at home among the beloved brick storefronts and historic charm that make downtown McKinney so special.

The Chestnut Hall

Opened in 1988, before McKinney had even reached 21,000 residents, El Juarez occupied the small front room of its current building, serving piping hot authentic Mexican cuisine to the locals. The cooks and wait staff have changed very little in the last 18 years. The ambiance of old Mexico is prevalent throughout this restaurant.

We are Holly & Shannon, besties who have a passion for flowers and cake. We met while producing weddings in the DFW area over 10 years ago. Holly had a very successful floral business and Shannon was well known all over the country for her artistic wedding cakes. Over the years we began working together and partnering on weddings and events. We are so excited for our latest venture, putting our passions for floral and cake into Have & Hold, our newest location in Downtown McKinney, Tx. As wedding floral designers we have over 15 years experienced working with the most beautiful flowers from all over the world. And as bakers, we source the best natural ingredients and bake everything fresh from scratch, and made to order.
