The Collin County Farm Museum strives to develop a better understanding and appreciation of Collin County rural heritage from the earliest settlement through the 1960s. The Collin County Farm Museum consists of 8,528 square feet of collections and restoration exhibits in the Wells Building. Additional artifacts are located throughout Myers Park & Event Center, including the Blacksmith Shop, the Granary and the Confinement house. Every place has a vibe...a feeling you get when you are there. At the Wayback Barn we hope you feel the joy of country life while making memories with your people. Our property sits atop the highest point in the area, with beautiful views of the countryside. The property is full of trees which are accented with string lights, giving the space a charming & peaceful feel. The property is centered around a 100 year old barn & silo. We have a field to the north of the barn for kids to play and enjoy some of their favorite recess games. What people love most is the space we have room to roam and be free from the hustle and bustle. This isn’t a backyard yard game type place where everyone sits on top of each other. This is acres of land that gives you space and freedom. We have everything you need to rest, have fun, and make memories.

**Hayloft Bar & Griddle**, tucked right inside the hundred-year-old barn (Wayback Barn) that’s seen more sunsets than most of us ever will, is a spot that folks around town talk about in hushed, happy tones. With its weather-worn beams, cozy nooks, and a porch made for sittin’, Hayloft is where rustic charm and good eatin’ come together just right. The menu? Short and sweet—just how country folks like it. Behind the bar, they’re pourin’ beer, a thoughtful pick of wine, and a mighty fine selection of whiskey. It’s the kind of place where the glass is always half full and the conversation flows as easy as a summer breeze.

The business is currently open for breakfast from 6-11 a.m, Monday through Saturday. During that time, the market, stocked with a variety of cuts of meat, canned items and beverages, is also open. Hoshi Ranch Japanese Barbecue & Local Market currently opens at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights, and occasional Thursday nights based on NFL game schedules. Coffee options, featuring gourmet coffee roasted onsite, include mocha, chai latte, vanilla latte, Americano and French press brewed coffee. Breakfast options that will be rolled out include yogurt parfaits, breakfast sandwiches, egg sandwiches and more. The dinner menu features a mixture of barbecue meat including traditional American options such as brisket and pulled pork as well as Japanese options like Wagyu. Tableside interactive cooking experiences are available featuring delicate pieces of beef that you grill at the table, that melt in your mouth and are delicious. Feldman, owner, said his goal is to continue the sense of community that The Shack has been known for as well as introduce a new culinary style to the mix.
