Opened in 1988, before McKinney had even reached 21,000 residents, El Juarez occupied the small front room of its current building, serving piping hot authentic Mexican cuisine to the locals. The cooks and wait staff have changed very little in the last 18 years. The ambiance of old Mexico is prevalent throughout this restaurant.

We are Holly & Shannon, besties who have a passion for flowers and cake. We met while producing weddings in the DFW area over 10 years ago. Holly had a very successful floral business and Shannon was well known all over the country for her artistic wedding cakes. Over the years we began working together and partnering on weddings and events. Located just one block east of McKinney's historic downtown square, this museum, located in the historic post office building, is one of McKinney's best kept secrets. The museum is open year round, Friday through Saturday, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Family research and genealogy projects are welcome. Our archives and family files include information, documentation, and photographs from Collin County. The museum is also available for private showings of exhibits and archives upon request.
