We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown. A 52-mile bike trail runs along the James. The Richmond Marathon and Ukrop’s 10k are huge celebrations, and the whole region comes out to cheer on our local teams. In fact, we’re so sports-minded that the Washington Redskins have their training camp right in the center of the city. While you'll find a huge selection of outdoor gear, Bass Pro Shops stores are also part museum, art gallery, antique store, aquarium, education, conservation and entertainment center. Islamorada Fish Company, located inside Bass Pro Shops in Hanover County, features shrimp, crab cakes, walleye, salmon, mahi mahi, calamari, tuna and even fried catfish. Your hot-air balloon flight will create a memory of a lifetime. All flights originate from the full-service balloon-port located in the Hanover Air Park. Flights last approximately one hour. As part of your first flight ceremony, each passenger will receive a first flight certificate with a digital photograph of you and your guest(s) in the balloon basket. In addition, toast your flight with a bottle of champagne or non-alcoholic beverage as part of your first flight.
