White Bank Park consists of 22 acres overlooking Swift Creek. The park has two rentable pavilions that can accommodate up to 200 people each. There are also eight individual picnic shelters and several multi-purpose play areas.

We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown. A 52-mile bike trail runs along the James. The Richmond Marathon and Ukrop’s 10k are huge celebrations, and the whole region comes out to cheer on our local teams. In fact, we’re so sports-minded that the Washington Redskins have their training camp right in the center of the city. Fort Clifton Park consists of 24 acres overlooking the Appomattox River. Earthworks criss-cross the Park as the site of Fort Clifton where five Union ships sailed Confederate Troops on June 11, 1864. The Confederate Battery, with cannon emplacements, remained in Confederate hands as the cannons drove the Union attackers away. The park has hiking trails and Civil War campaign signage on site. Fort Clifton has one rentable pavilion that can accommodate up to 60 people as well as one individual picnic shelter.

Old Brick House incorporates many architectural changes made over the years, including 18th century Flemish bond brickwork on the exterior. However, it is thought at its core to be the oldest brick house in the region and among the oldest houses in Virginia.
