We’re a community of runners, hikers, bikers and ballplayers. We’re an outdoor playground, designed by Mother Nature, with class III and IV rapids running right through our downtown. A 52-mile bike trail runs along the James. The Richmond Marathon and Ukrop’s 10k are huge celebrations, and the whole region comes out to cheer on our local teams. In fact, we’re so sports-minded that the Washington Redskins have their training camp right in the center of the city. Located at Stony Run Drive and Williamsburg Road in Richmond’s East End, this 40 acre park is home to the city’s only BMX race track, which serves as the home track for Richmond BMX, an affiliate of the National Bicycle League. A park that draws diverse activities, it is also a favorite of disc golf fans (much like Bryan Park) for its 18-hole disc golf course. In addition, the park’s horse shoe pits are the site of regular activity and many tournaments. The Gillies Creek Park Foundation is working with the City of Richmond on future plans to develop the park to connect a series of new and existing parks in an unprecedented urban greenway that will link Richmond neighborhoods to the nearby riverfront, Tobacco Row, the Virginia Capital Trail and the restored canal.

Our brewpub, pizza kitchen and brewery is located in Fulton Richmond at 5203 Hatcher Street. Dogs are allowed on our outside patio but must be on leashes at all times. We offer Neapolitan style: thin crust pizza, salads, and snacks. The onsite Venue boasts two open barrel rooms complete with private bar, staffing, sound system, and furniture with linens. Hourly rentals and catering available.

The Clarke-Palmore House Museum is located high atop historic Marion Hill in Henrico County. The Museum interprets the story of the Palmore family who lived on a small farm in 1930. Like other farm families living through the Great Depression, the Palmore family struggled to make a living during tough economic times. Built in stages beginning in 1819, John Clarke purchased the property in 1855 and added the second story. His daughter Estelle and her husband John Palmore added the clapboard section in 1910. In 1999, Vera Morton, daughter of John and Estelle Palmore, donated the house and 12 acres to the County. National Register Historic Site.
