Inspired by great fresh ingredients, our small neighborhood bakery on a corner in downtown Chicago began creating artisan breads and freshly baked sweets. And upon a little success, neighbors began to ask us for sandwiches made with that fabulous bread, followed by homemade soups and salads, and even made-to-order scramblers. Our guests’ requests continued to inspire us as our bakery’s menu and business grew. Today, we continue to fulfill the needs and desires of our neighbors with a menu of ingredient-inspired, prepared-to-order food. When you visit our cafe, you’ll see real kitchens in place of assembly lines. You’ll hear the chopping of over 40 types of fresh herbs, fruits and vegetables, and the sizzle of our real panini grill. This sleek, modern cafe specializes in both traditional Thai coffees and teas and unique, creative drinks. Run by a pair of siblings who started it as a coffee truck before opening the Tukwila location in 2025, it has the heart and soul of a small, family-run business.     

HIGHLIGHTS:    
- Thai-Inspired Drink Menu: Chayen's signature drinks are Thai tea and Thai iced coffee—a rich, refreshing pick-me-up made with bold brewed coffee, sweetened condensed milk, and cream. If you want to try a modern twist, you can also order a version of this drink made with espresso shots.

Dough Zone Dumpling House has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a mom-and-pop restaurant in Bellevue, WA. Since it was founded in 2014, the business has become a wildly popular west coast chain. Ten years and thousands of dumplings later, the business opened its much-anticipated Tukwila location opened in October of 2024. From the moment it opened its doors, people have flocked to the restaurant to try its famous dumplings and dependably delicious Chinese comfort food. ​    

NEED TO KNOW:    
-Specialty Dishes: A trip to Dough Zone isn’t complete without trying the steaming hot soup dumplings, which you can order filled with your choice of pork, chicken, or fresh crab meat. They’re filled with broth, so you get a literal burst of flavor with every bite. How they do this? By enclosing aspic, savory gelatin made from stock, inside the dough. Another popular menu item is the signature Q-BAO®️, a modern take on pan-fried buns, with a crispy bottom and pillowy soft top. Also be sure to try the dan dan noodles and potstickers (pan-fried dumplings) which come in meat and veggie options. Dip one in the ginger vinegar sauce for a balanced blend of flavors.

Oppegaard Meadery creates an amazing variety of Mead using a wide range of both common and rare ingredients.  Honey is always the main ingredient, but also expect to find fruit, spices, hops, herbs and even tea leaves in the unique Meads we craft. Located in Tukwila, this Oppegaard Meadery supports local beekeepers, local farmers, local craftspeople, local artists and their own family of Mead makers!

The 2026 9U PG Harvest Slugfest (Saturday Only) is a premier youth baseball tournament hosted by Perfect Game, the world’s largest and most respected amateur baseball scouting organization. Held on October 3, 2026, at Steven J Underwood Memorial Park in Des Moines, Washington, this single-day event offers young athletes born on or after May 1, 2017 the chance to compete on premium turf fields with professional officiating. Participants will enjoy efficient tournament management, high-quality facilities, and opportunities to boost player and team rankings through scouting coverage and social media exposure. Registration is open now for 9U teams seeking a competitive and well-organized baseball experience.

Get ready for a spooky good time with our annual 4v4 indoor Boo Fest Jamboree! Teams are encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit with their own costumes and fun teams. Boofest Jamboree

**2026 Emerald City Cup** returns to Starfire Sports in Tukwila on **October 31 – November 1, 2026**, bringing together top boys lacrosse teams from across the region for a weekend of high-level competition. Teams from **3rd/4th grade through High School Varsity** will compete in a guaranteed **five-game format**, including pool play followed by playoff or consolation games. Hosted by CitySide Lax, the tournament emphasizes competitive matchups, player development, and a first-class event experience for athletes, coaches, and families.

Emerald City Cup Boys Lacrosse 

Experience the excitement of the **NWAC Soccer Championships**, where the conference’s top teams compete for a championship title.

Championship action takes place on **Friday, November 13, and Sunday, November 15**, giving soccer fans two days to cheer on talented NWAC student-athletes as they battle their way toward the title.
