The CVJO is dedicated to bringing the finest big band jazz to the Chippewa Valley region as both entertaining and educational experiences. Under the guiding hand of musical director Bruce Hering, the CVJO brings together many of the finest musicians throughout the region to perform jazz in a concert setting. Among the members of the CVJO are many of the most respected jazz musicians in the Chippewa Valley, including full-time performers, music educators, students, and other community members with a passion for the art of the big band. This substantial collection of talent makes it possible for the CVJO to tackle a wide variety of musical styles and eras, and their concerts will reflect both the traditions that are the underpinnings of jazz as well as the works of more modern composers. Our goal, above all others, is raise public awareness of the richness the one great American musical art form, jazz.

Chippewa Valley Jazz Orchestra

Pinehurst Park is one of Eau Claire's most unique places to ride, play and explore, with a growing mix of mountain biking, disc golf and outdoor recreation on the city's north side. Its progressive bike features and wooded 18-hole disc golf course make the park especially worth seeking out for visitors who want something a little more adventurous.

The disc golf course is open year-round and finishes with a memorable long throw from the top of the hill. Because the course shares parts of the park with mountain bike trails, disc golfers should stay alert and yield to bike traffic when fairways and trails cross.

Located at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport in Eau Claire, WI, Hangar 54 Grill offers an all-American cuisine featuring many made-from-scratch menu items. They use hand-crafted meats from Rump's Butcher Shoppe in the neighboring city of Altoona for many of their dishes. Signature cocktails, wine, domestic and craft beers are poured daily in their bar. Their all-day fish fry featured beer-battered haddock. They serve the general public along with arriving and departing passengers to and from the Chippewa Valley. Two conference rooms are available for meetings, private parties, and banquets. Free parking is available.

Riverview Park is located alongside the Chippewa River on the northern side of Eau Claire. While the park boast amazing natural views, it has a list of amenities visitors can enjoy as well. Riverview Park offers playground equipment, pavilions, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, river access, parking, boat dock/landing, volleyball and electricity at pavilions.
