Their retreat has four bedrooms each with four twin beds and one bathroom each. There is a full kitchen and seating for 16 in the dining area. A living room with wonderful light, TV and a fireplace is perfect for movie watching or game playing. And last but not least, we have reserved a small space as a relaxing room. This room can be used if you choose to bring in a masseuse to pamper you during your stay. Otherwise, it is a great room to sneak away to read a book or practice yoga. The highlight of the retreat is a large workroom featuring working space for 16 people which can be rented. Each person will have their own 6 foot work table and comfortable office chair. Also included in this workroom is a wet bar with full fridge. 4 irons (dry) and ironing boards will be available for you use along with a variety of quilting supplies.

They are happy to source many items locally, including meats from Rump's Butcher Shoppe just down the street, eggs from Amanda's Eggs & Pasture Poultry and premium coffees courtesy of Backroads Coffee.

They serve authentic French bakery goods made from scratch, in-house. They specialize in foods you're not going to find anywhere, including their special lavender-vanilla shortbread, homemade English muffins, and croissants, as well as featured items including madeleines, macarons, and tarts.

Altoona City Park, also known as 10th Street Park, is a neighborhood gathering place with plenty of room to play, picnic and spend time outdoors. The 5.5-acre park features two playground areas for children ages 2–12, including its recognizable climbing tower, along with a youth baseball diamond, full-size basketball court and six courts available for tennis and pickleball. Two of the courts are lighted for evening play.

Families and groups can gather around the park’s picnic tables, charcoal grills, gazebo and open green space. A reservable pavilion includes electricity, while The Fish House offers an indoor recreation and event space for larger gatherings.

Golden Spike Bare & Grill features 10 beers on tap, including one serving 1919 Root Beer, with a kitchen that stays open late. This kickback bar hosts pool and dart leagues as well as bean bag leagues in the spring. Happy hours are 3-6pm weekdays as well as during regular-season Packer games and NASCAR races!

The Otter Creek Inn has been in business since 1987. Owner, Lisa Jenkins, purchased the inn and started cosmetic renovations in August of 2018. Much of the original unique furnishings and features remain. The new beds, bedding, and upgraded amenities are sure to please those who have enjoyed and loved the property as well as guests yet to experience the inn.
