Westgate Sportsman Club, perched in the forests of Western Eau Claire and over-looking the beautiful Chippewa River, offers a variety of shooting sports and a fabulous venue for weddings and events. They have trap, pistol and rifle ranges, an indoor archery in the winter, and an indoor pistol range. they are dedicated to promoting shooting sports and invite you to join. Yearly memberships are $30 for single and $55 for family. They offer full accommodations with a private bar and excellent food. They pride themselves in being accommodating. Founded in 2002, Trinity Equestrian Center is a beautiful 67-acre horse ranch located four miles south of Eau Claire on Highway 37. Committed to changing lives through connection, Trinity specializes in youth development, including Youth Counseling and Youth Workshops, as well as equine-assisted services, like therapy and adaptive riding. What truly makes Trinity unique is free equine services to veterans and first responders. Trinity is also home to the annual Strength in Service Summit, established in 2025, to provide resilience and hope to those who need it. Sessions are by appointment. Not all programs include horses. The Chippewa River and Red Cedar Trails are available year round for outdoor activities. During, Spring, Summer and Fall, you may enjoy walking, biking and in-line skating on the trail. In Winter, the Chippewa River Trail is used for snowmobiling while the Red Cedar Trail is groomed for cross-country skiing. Trail passes for biking, cross-country skiing and in-line skating are required for everyone 16 years and older on the state portion of the Chippewa River Trail and all of the Red Cedar State Trail. The cost is $15 for an annual pass and $4 for a daily pass. Passes may be purchased along the trail. Maps and brochures are available.
