Out of Africa Wildlife Park

Step into the Old West at Blazin' M Ranch, Arizona's only Western dinner show, set along the Verde River in Cottonwood, just 20 minutes from Sedona and 90 minutes from Phoenix. Since 1994, the ranch has welcomed guests into a full frontier town packed with more than 10 activities: axe throwing, a BB gun shooting gallery, the Bank Escape Room, a ride on the Blazin' M Express train, 9-hole putt-putt, Old-Tyme Photos, Rodeo Drive shopping, the Dream West Verde Valley Museum, and a petting zoo with baby Highland cows. When the dinner bell rings, gather in the barn for a hearty Western feast with fall-off-the-bone ribs, then kick back for the 45-minute Boot-Stompin' Show from the Blazin' M Ramblers, a night of live music, comedy, and cowboy fun for all ages. Grab a drink at the Copper Spur Saloon and make an evening of it. Family owned and operated, with the owners performing in every show. Blazin' M Ranch

Postcard-perfect scenery is only part of the magic of Verde Canyon Railroad. The train takes you on a leisurely four hour journey from the charming Clarkdale depot to the ghost ranch at Perkinsville and back. It is a retreat into the heart of the land, and the mood on the train suits the spirit of the journey. Book the caboose to see the sights from your own private car with a personal attendant and private viewing platforms. First-class cars boast comfortable love seats or bistro seating where you will enjoy complimentary appetizers and access to a full-service bar. Coach-class offers vintage Pullman-style seating, enormous viewing windows and snack bars. Everyone has access to open-air viewing cars where photographic opportunities abound.

Verde Canyon Railroad

The Verde Canyon Railroad features an abundance of flora, fauna, rugged rock faces and spectacular canyon vistas accessible only by rail via luxurious coaches and open-air cars pulled by vintage locomotives. From Clarkdale to Perkinsville and back, enjoy the rippling green waters of the Verde River, towering red rock canyon walls and brilliant azure skies. Cactus and agave adorn the cliff sides, while graceful cottonwoods and sycamores canopy the water. Ancient Sinagua ruins stand sentinel over the tracks. Ride includes historic trestles, bridges and a 680-foot tunnel that envelopes the train in total darkness before returning to glorious Arizona sunshine. Inspired by nature, conducted by experts, Verde Canyon Railroad travels the rare ribbon where high desert meets riparian wonderland.
