First Fridays Ypsilanti began in 2013 as a monthly arts & culture walk, connecting artists, venues, and the community. Several storefront businesses will host artists of all kinds for free entertainment. Monthly maps of participating locations are launched the week prior to the event. The First Fridays Ypsilanti season runs from April through December.

Originally the Ypsilanti Masonic Temple, this beautifully renovated, multi-level facility offers performances by resident companies including PTD Productions, Horizon Performing Arts, and more. The space features art installations and exhibits by local and regional artists. Various events, shows and workshops take place here at the Arts Center. Dreamland Theater

The Rocket is a fun novelty shop located in downtown Ypsilanti. The store offers a large selection of wrapped and unwrapped bulk candy, novelty, nostalgic, and traditional wrapped candies, and a selection of chocolates like jumbo peanut butter cups, chocolate covered cherries, turtles, jumbo chocolate malt balls, chocolate covered bridge mix, and chocolate covered pretzels. A small selection of sugar free candy is also available.
