The Lansing Sports Commission (LSC) is your resource for sports tournament and event planning in Michigan's Capital Region. As a full-service sports commission, we will work with you on every aspect of your event, as dedicated to its success as you are. Located in the heart of Michigan, Greater Lansing is convenient to reach and easy to navigate. Our region is full of well-equipped lodging, first-rate athletic venues, entertainment options for the team and so much more. We're proud to offer the finest floral arrangements, green and blooming plants, plant rentals and more. Hyacinth House has been family owned and operated since 1975 and is a full service florist that includes contemporary & traditional arrangements. We have built an excellent reputation on beautiful flowers and prompt service. We give each customer our personal attention. We cater to events; with greenery rentals, centerpieces and stage greenery. We also cater to weddings, funerals, graduations, and corporate functions. Hyacinth House

Hawk Island is a 100-acre urban oasis nestled in South Lansing, between Pennsylvania Avenue and Aurelius Road. When the weather warms up, the park has something for everyone. Visitors can rent a swan pedal boat, go swimming, splash around on the Splash Pad, or relax in the shaded picnic areas. For fitness enthusiasts and casual strollers alike, a 1.5-mile paved, accessible loop winds around the lake, offering beautiful waterfront views. The pathway connects to the Lansing River Trail as well for those looking for longer miles. The fun doesn't stop when the temperatures dip. In the winter, Hawk Island transforms into a Mid-Michigan snow-tubing destination, featuring a "magic carpet" uphill conveyor and snowmakers to guarantee thrills all season long. Afterward, you can defrost and cozy up in the nearby warming lodge. A great option to explore during downtime between sports events or for hosting events.

Hawk Island Park

Use Fenner Nature Center for your next event. Plenty of outdoor spaces to host a great meeting or event for 300+ people Davis Nature Pavilion has a patio that can seat 50. Tables, chairs and set up are included in the rental price. Guests would have access to the building's private restrooms so long as they adhere to the capacity limits and safety precautions required at the time of their event. Maple Grove Pavilion, a small open air pavilion with 6 picnic tables. This is located a short walk from our main parking lot along a paved path. Guests would have access to the Visitor Center's restrooms during open hours. Tables and chairs, other than the picnic tables, are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 36 at the picnic tables, or if chairs are brought in, comfortably 50. Group Campground, a ~1 acre field with a small covered patio, firepit and private outhouse. This field is accessible from a private parking lot that holds approximately 30 cars. Tables, chairs and tents are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. Tents and canopies larger than 10x10 require a permit with the City of Lansing. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 150. Festival Field, a large open field to the east of the park entrance and north of our main parking lot. Guests would have access to the Visitor Center's restrooms during open hours. Tables, chairs and tents are not included and would need to be brought in by the renter. Tents and canopies larger than 10x10 require a permit with the City of Lansing. This site does not have electricity. This site can comfortably fit 300+. Welcomes inquiries from sports groups.

Fenner Nature Center

This interactive learning center appeals to both children and adults, making it ideal for families. It features a system of self-guided nature trails through woods and fields and around ponds, a visitor center with exhibits, gift shop and natural history library. Year-round staff-led tours and programs are offered, plus Summer Nature Camp, October Apple Butter Festival and March Maple Syrup Festival. The gift shop stocks a variety of nature and environmental items.

Mitten Kitten 2026 Slash Up XIII

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Enjoy on-site vendors, certified officials, and direct access to college recruiters with recruiting packets available. Ideal for teams seeking top-tier competition and exposure in a fast-paced, well-organized tournament environment.

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
