Dominican Meadows Preserve contains forests, wetlands, and grasslands along nearly two miles of Fleming Creek, a major tributary to the Huron River. The natural areas contain varying habitats with notable older-growth forests and wet meadows.

The scenic hills and varying topography of Dominican Meadows Preserve have been showcased in the initial trail design. The current trail length is just under one mile and gains 70’+ in elevation.

For a good hiking opportunity close to the city of Ann Arbor, the Goodrich Preserve is the perfect spot. The neighboring Horner Woods complex - used primarily by U of M for research, teaching, and fieldwork - is dominated by old-growth forest that grades from hilltop oak-hickory on the eastern Goodrich property to maple-mixed Hardwoods covering rich central valleys.

Native shrubs, predominantly buttonbush, surround several small wetlands and fill a large swamp that separates much of the woodland from the M-14 freeway. The central portion of this forest, known for its outstanding spring wildflower displays, is preserved by U-M as a plant sanctuary.

Conveniently located in Ann Arbor, The Petting Farm gives children and adults a chance to interact with farm animals. Hayrides, group rates, and birthday packages available. Pony rides on weekends.

The Dixboro Farmers Market is dedicated to supporting local growers and producers through the creation of a vibrant marketplace that is welcoming to all members of our surrounding community. The market aims to preserve both the area's agricultural history and foster innovation, while meeting the demands of area residents for additional opportunities to purchase local, fresh food. Open Fridays 3:30 - 7:30 pm May through October.

Dixboro Farmers Market

Marshall Nature Area is an 87 acre natural area in the far northeast area of Ann Arbor, at the corner of Plymouth and Dixboro Roads.

West from the gravel parking area is an open oak grove which was once the site of the Marshall family homestead. Trails be​​​​gin at the northwest corner of the oak grove. The trails through the park are unpaved and in some areas are narrow. Some sections of the trail traverse steep slopes. Otherwise, the terrain is gently rolling.

Most of Marshall Nature Area is wooded with some open fields. Much of the forested area is open with mixed hardwoods such as oak, hickory, maple and beech. Dogwoods and a variety of wildflowers add springtime color to the park. Pockets of planted pine and spruce are found at the north end of the park. The main trail will loop through both types of woods and the fields.

**Dixboro House**

Dixboro House was carved out of the bones of the original barn structure, originally erected in 1880, and utilized as a restaurant beginning in the 1920's. The century-old barn has been restored to feature exposed 140-year-old timbers, a gambrel vaulted ceiling and the original stone fireplace and modern kitchen and barn providing a familiar comfort for our guests. The menu at Dixboro House, like the dining room itself, is refined and rustic for lunch and dinner.

The Boro is our side door all-day café featuring woodfired pizzas, takeaway meals, a full range of expertly produced baked goods, Roos Roast coffee, adult beverages and much, much more.
