The 2027 Midwestern Synchronized Skating Sectional Championships will bring hundreds of athletes, coaches, families, and fans to Wichita from January 20-23, 2027, as teams from across the Midwest compete for advancement in the U.S. Figure Skating qualifying season. Hosted at INTRUST Bank Arena, the event will feature synchronized skating teams across multiple competitive levels, showcasing the precision, athleticism, and teamwork of one of figure skating’s fastest-growing disciplines. Elite junior, senior, and collegiate events will be streamed on Peacock, while additional competitions will be available through U.S. Figure Skating’s digital platforms, giving Wichita national visibility and generating significant economic impact through visitor spending and overnight stays

The national championship features the NAIA's top qualifying wrestlers competing for the sport's prestigious Red Banner. The 5th Annual Women’s Wrestling National Championship, hosted by the NAIA, brings top collegiate women’s wrestling competition to Heartland Credit Union Arena in Wichita, Kansas, on March 12–13, 2027.
