Liam’s Be Café serves coffee and tea drinks, hot chocolate and baked goods, and is named after Lowell resident Liam Doyle, who worked as a Barista at the Brody’s Be Café in Ada before this store was opened in 2024. We are an economic generator through sports tourism for Greater Grand Rapids and Kent County in the West Michigan area.

We own and operate an award winning baseball/softball complex; the Meijer Sports Complex [www.MeijerSportsComplex.com](https://www.MeijerSportsComplex.com) featuring eight fields, including a championship field that seats 1,000.

Our signature event, the Meijer State Games of Michigan (Olympic-style sporting event), draws 10,000 athletes through 60+ sports in its Winter and Summer Games.  We work with many of our local sports clubs and organizations to host various regional and national tournaments.

Flat River Grill is a neighborhood restaurant located in the heart of downtown Lowell and is comprised of two unique spaces–the dining room, housed within the first floor of the Bergin building (est. 1931), and a four-season patio, which is situated alongside the Flat River and the historic Lowell Showboat.

We serve wood-fired feasts with an emphasis on classic American cuisine. The menu is highlighted by line-caught fish, grass-fed beef, wood-fired pizza, and an impressive variety of wood-grilled burgers. The space is comfortable, the service is warm, and the people are like family. A special bond exists between our staff and the Lowell community. Patrons often choose to share milestone events like birthdays, anniversaries, proms and celebrations with us. We're not ashamed to admit that our Instagram feed can resemble a family scrapbook from time to time. Over the years we've enjoyed the privilege of watching both employees and guests spend their formative years here, before embarking out into the world on grand adventures. Children’s Village Café provides a safe and interactive environment for children to explore, have fun and learn through play. They offer a variety of classes for toddlers, including arts and crafts, yoga, cooking, science, and baby sign language, and they have a sensory room designed for overstimulated children to relax and unwind. Hop Hog Lowell

Small-town Lowell, about 20 minutes east of downtown Grand Rapids, is the setting for Grand River Riverfront Park, which combines scenic river beauty with abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Riverfront Park consists of two sections connected by a timber-framed pedestrian bridge spanning nearly 650 feet across the Grand River. Arrowhead's one-of-a-kind layout will challenge golfers of all skill levels. Arrowhead plays 6,188 yards from the back tees so it is accessible for any golfer, but don't let that fool you. The undulating greens and mischievous layout will offer a test for any golfer. Over the years Arrowhead has humbled many unsuspecting golfers who have written it off as child's play. Holes 11 and 18 are two of the toughest in all of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The 2026 Thunderfest Wheelchair Rugby Tournament, presented by Fusion Medical, is a Grand Rapids Thunder home tournament taking place October 24–25, 2026, at MSA Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This six-team Division II–III wheelchair rugby competition welcomes athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials, with lunch and a tournament T-shirt provided to participants. Tournament schedules will be emailed after rosters are received, with roster submissions due October 13.

Special Olympics North America Women's 3x3 Unified Basketball Tournament

The mission of Special Olympics Michigan is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.

Athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy while participating in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship among their families, Special Olympics athletes and the community. The athletes achieve their dreams with the support of caring volunteers, coaches, family members and staff. Donations from Michigan citizens and businesses provide funding for the program.
