734 Brewing Company was started by three locals who grew up in the quirky town of Ypsilanti. Proud to be from Ypsi, this group wants their beer to showcase what it means to be from such a great place. They serve unpretentious brews in an environment that highlights their belief that everyone deserves the best. Serving up ales, hard seltzers, Nostalgie spirits, root beer, and a regular spot for community nights and live music.

Schultz Outfitters in Ypsilanti is your one stop shop for all of your fly fishing needs. Visit to learn more about what's new in the shop, upcoming events and classes, guide trips, casting lessons, and destination travel. Schultz Outfitters operates a fly shop located in Ypsilanti's historic Depot Town on the banks of the Huron River. The store stocks the fly fishing gear you need for a successful day on the water – whether near or far. In addition to gear, they also carry one of the most comprehensive inventory of fly tying supplies in Michigan. The shop also serves as the hub for educational programs, including casting lessons, workshops, and classes. Schultz Outfitters also offers fly tying instruction for all skill levels.

The Ypsilanti Freighthouse is a city-owned structure managed by the City of Ypsilanti, and formerly managed by the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse (FOYF). The Freighthouse can be rented out as a venue space for weddings, community events, and other occasions. Rentals include use of facility tables, chairs, and access to more resources depending on your preferred rental package.

Sidetrack's burgers were rated in the top 20 by GQ magazine. Sidetrack was also used as a location in the Hilary Swank film Conviction. Sidetrack Bar and Grill serves gourmet burgers, deep fried pickles, and features 16 microbrews on tap.

This museum features automotive stories about the Chevrolet Corvair, Tucker, Hudson, Kaiser-Frazer, and General Motors Hydra-matic; all with Ypsilanti connections! A featured car in the collection is #92, a 1952 Hudson Hornet race car owned by NASCAR champion Herb Thomas.

Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum

Riverside is a 16 acre park on the Huron River in the center of Ypsilanti, linking downtown and Depot Town. It is the home to various events. Between these events, it hosts activities such as bicycling, dog walking, picnicking, fishing, and sunbathing. The park is part of the Washtenaw County Border to Border Trail as well as part of the Huron River Water Trail.

A universal design play structure was installed in December 2018, in honor of local leader, Liz Dahl MacGregor. Parking is available on the north end of the park, off Cross Street, just west of the river from 7am to 8pm; parking is also available to the south of the park, accessed via an alley just west of 6 W Michigan.

The annual Michigan Summer Beer Festival is an outdoor, two day event held in Ypsilanti’s Historic Depot Town and sponsored by the Michigan Brewer’s Guild. The event allows visitors to sample 100 Michigan brewers offering over 1,000 different beer samples.
