Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science & Art

Founded in 1908 and located in Scranton’s historic Nay Aug Park, the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science & Art engages and inspires visitors through a variety of exhibitions, educational programs, and events for people of all ages and backgrounds throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. From its foundational taxidermy collection, fossil gallery, and rocks and minerals displays to world-class art produced regionally, nationally, and internationally, to cultural artifacts from peoples around the world throughout time, the Everhart catalogs, preserves, and shares histories near and far to facilitate a deeper connection between people and the world around them.

The Everhart features regularly changing special exhibitions both curated from the Museum’s extensive collections and brought in from around the country, and frequently updates its permanent galleries, meaning there is always something new to see.
