Salmon-Morgan Creeks Natural Area

This natural area covers over 81 acres of mature forest and open meadow just southeast of the City of Battle Ground. The property includes two creeks, Morgan Creek and Salmon Creek. The forested area on the east side of the property has large stands of fir, western red cedar and hemlock. There are a approximately one and one-half (1-1/2) miles of softsurface trails which are open to foot traffic. Given the diversity of trees, shrubs, wetlands and creeks, the property is home to a large range of wildlife species that make this property great for passive hikes and wildlife viewing. This property was purchased, in part, by Conservation Futures funds in 2006.
