Millennium Park

The closest beach to Grand Rapids is just five minutes from downtown and offers six acres of sandy lake frontage, a well-marked swimming area, boat rentals and one of America’s Top 10 Splashpads. Millennium Park’s beach facilities include locker and changing rooms, restrooms, picnic areas and a concession stand with hot food, snacks and frozen treats. Daily admission to the beach and splashpad is $4 for ages 16-62, $3 for ages 63 & older and $2 for children ages 3-15. Ages 2 and under get in free. Season passes are also available. Millennium is one of the nation’s largest urban parks, spanning 1,400 acres and nearly 18 miles of paved hiking/biking trails through diverse terrain. Pets are not allowed in the beach area but are permitted on a leash of six foot or less elsewhere in the park. There is no fee for accessing non-beach portions of the park.
