Constructed in 1879, Civil War General Oliver Otis Howard and his family were the first of many to enjoy the house's traditional wrap-around porch and intimate courtyard. In 2023, the City of Vancouver became the steward of the former community library building at 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd. The City’s Culture, Arts and Heritage Commission saw this as an incredible opportunity to create a much-needed arts hub in a space that is already important to the community. The eye-catching building is well-suited to host a variety of activities and events. It is located near educational resources like the Historic Reserve and the Downtown Arts District, offering opportunities for community partnerships and space for an arts ecosystem to flourish. The building can provide space for community meetings, classes, workshops and rehearsals that support arts and culture in Vancouver. In its current condition, there is an occupancy limit of 49 people.

USTA PNW NTRP Sectional Championships

Established in 1904, the USTA Pacific Northwest is one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, the USTA PNW is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote and develop the growth of tennis in the Pacific Northwest.  Operating in Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and northern Idaho USTA PNW over 25,000 individual adult and junior members and over 200 organization members and providers, such as tennis facilities and community tennis associations, who also help us to promote the sport.
