Lansing Sports Commission

Mid-Michigan’s premiere semi-professional ballet company was founded in 1990 by Artistic Director Barbara Banasikowski Smith. The Greater Lansing Ballet Company has performed internationally, nationally and regionally and is also the community’s doorway to some of the world’s finest ballet dancers and instructors. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

This is the location of the USAC .25 Midget Nationals. About 3 miles south of the I-69 and Old US-27 interchange. Or from Downtown Lansing, approximately 3 miles north on Larch Street also known as Business Route 27. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

Capitol Quarter Midgets Race Track

Granger Meadows Park is unlike any other recreational facility in the area. Designed to provide year-round use, the park offers winter activities such as cross country skiing and sledding, the traditional summer uses. The park has been designed to reflect the agrarian roots of DeWitt Charter Township. Rolling berms covered in natural meadow grasses, a small orchard, and the earth tone colors of the buildings all suggest you're still on the farm. The park is located near State and Wood Roads with access from Granger Meadows Lane. Granger Meadows Park is connected to Valley Farms Park by a lighted and paved trail. The 76-acre park includes recreational opportunities for everyone, including an adult softball diamond; an inline skating rink; 4,500' of mulched trails; a playground; lighted, paved barrier-free parking; a warming room; a natural ice skating pond; a basketball court; 9,300' of paved and lighted trails; three picnic pavilions with grills; barrier-free restroom facilities; a 70' high sledding hill with three slopes; and a koi pond. As the primary active recreation facility in the Township, the 25-acre Valley Farms Park includes both the Kramer-Ruthruff Area and the Township Community Center. Having undergone major renovations in the last few years, the complex boasts many recreational opportunities, including an adult softball diamond; two youth baseball diamonds; a basketball court; a sand volleyball court; two picnic pavilions; restroom facilities; horseshoe pits; a play structure; slides, swings & merry-go-rounds; lighted, paved barrier-free parking; picnic tables and grills; paved barrier-free pathways; and two multi-purpose fields (soccer or football). The Kramer-Ruthruff Area is a heavily wooded area, which includes a nine-hole disc golf course. The Township Community Center offers a facility for indoor recreation and meeting room accessibility. Valley Farms Park is located at the intersection of Brook Road and Wieland Road. A great option to explore during downtime between sports events.

The Plant Professionals, Inc

The park is open to BMX riders of all ages and abilities. Races are held weekly throughout the summer. Open to the public, weather permitting. Free admission. Proper gear recommended. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Capital City Family BMX Track at Gier Park

Located on Lansing's north side near expressways, entertainment, lodging, and a dozen affordable dining options. Bleacher seating at each of the three fields will accommodate up to 100 spectators. All dugouts are fenced. Adjacent practice fields are ideal for warm-up areas. Ample on-site parking will accommodate approximately 500 vehicles. The park is handicapped-accessible. Electronic scoreboard system.Concession and restroom structure on site.Convenient access to water. The venue is also home to the area's only sanctioned BMX biking course. In addition to BMX, this facility can accommodate baseball and softball. This facility is great for tournaments and special events.

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
