Lansing Sports Commission

Once a popular amusement park, Lake Lansing Park-South is located on Lake Lansing, the largest body of water within 30 miles of Lansing. The 30-acre site includes a sandy beach bordered by four acres of lush green grass. The park offers a supervised swimming beach, snack bar, community band shell, picnicking, volleyball, a community-built playground, a tricycle track, fishing, and pedal and rowboat rental. With over 400 acres of natural recreation area, woods and trails, Lake Lansing Park-North is a bounty of year-round outdoor activity. Lake Lansing Park-North offers picnicking areas, playgrounds, fishing (at the boat launch), hiking trails, a softball diamond, a basketball court, sand volleyball courts, a nature study area, and a boat launch on Lake Lansing. In the winter enjoy the snow covered forest. Bring your cross-country skis and enjoy the trails. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Lansing Urgent Care provides medical care for injuries and illnesses that are not life threatening such as colds, flus, cuts, fractures/sprains and infections. We offer high quality medical care from a compassionate and caring staff in a timely manner. Hours: Mon. - Fri. 9 a.m. - 9 p.m and Sun. 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and accept major credit cards. Lansing Urgent Care-Haslett

Court One Training Facility is geared towards team or individual training and development. The Court one Training Center is available for a variety of sports as well as non-sport events. The facility currently accommodates; basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, baseball, golf, roller derby, badminton, martial arts, wrestling, dance, stunt, futsal, gymnastics, and more.

Lansing Roller Derby is a skater run, nonprofit 501(c)3 roller derby league committed to making the Greater Lansing Area an even better place to live. Within our league we strive to promote health and physical fitness, healthy competition and to provide opportunities for leadership and personal growth. Within the community we work with like-minded organizations to provide volunteers, funding and support to further their goals and our common goal of improving life in the Lansing area. In every way possible, we strive to build and maintain an inclusive environment and league culture that promotes the goals of accepting, respecting, and valuing differences which include attributes such as age, race, gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender expression, sexual identity, ability, language, family circumstances, socioeconomic status, and cultural backgrounds. LRD currently consists of both travel teams and home teams. Our travel teams consist of, our A-level, most competitive team, the B-level, competitive team and C-level, growth and development team. All travel teams play in bouts across the Midwest region and Ontario, Canada, to compete with both WFTDA and non-WFTDA affiliated roller derby organizations. Our home teams, compete with LRD members against other LRD members. Our home teams pay homage to old ELRD and LDV team names; the Mitten Mavens (Black), Broadbarians (Grey), the Derby Vixens (Green), and Capital Corruption (Purple). LRD operates under the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association rule set, insurance coverage, and statement regarding gender. To become a skater with LRD you must 18 years or older and identify as a cisgender woman or “an individual who identifies as a trans woman, intersex woman, and/or gender expansive if women’s flat track roller derby is the version and composition of roller derby with which they most closely identify.”

Central Park is a diverse area offering many recreation opportunities. The Municipal Complex is the southeast quarter of Central Park. This area contains the Township Municipal buildings (including the Township offices, Public Safety Building, entrance drives and parking lots), Farmers' Market pavilion, soccer field, Historical Village, Nokomis Learning Center and a pond. This park includes play equipment, restrooms, interpretive facilities, sidewalks, pavilion, picnic areas, and parking that are accessible to individuals with a disability. The Historical Village is an 1800's grouping of six restored buildings located in Central Park. The Village has open hours for walkthrough visits and can be reserved by school groups for classes, presentations and/or special activities. Flowers, herbs, and vegetable gardens are planted in the Historical Village and maintained by the Meridian Garden Club. The facilities, sidewalks, and parking are accessible to individuals with a disability. The Farmers' Market operates in the Central Park pavilion at the Meridian Municipal Complex from May-October on Wednesdays and Saturdays with vendors selling a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables and home-made products. A great option to explore during down time between sports events.

Central Park

Modern wedding chapel designed to look like a 19th century chapel with 14 pews in an exquisite sanctuary available for small weddings, up to 100 people. Located within the historic Meridian Historical Village.

The Village Chapel

Nancy Moore Park was acquired in 1989 and was Meridian Township's first athletic complex. The 40 acres that makes up this park is adjacent to Central Park and connected through both natural trails and the paved pathway system. Amenities in Nancy Moore Park include a pavilion, restrooms, ball fields, soccer fields, sand volleyball courts with Lake Michigan sand, play equipment, picnic areas, horseshoe pits, Gaga ball pits, a basketball court, grills, and a paved parking lot with room for 160 cars.

Join the **Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament**, the premier lacrosse showcase for boys and girls teams in the Midwest. Hosted at the state-of-the-art Hope Sports Complex in Lansing, Michigan, this **October 10–11, 2026** event features high-energy competition across divisions from U10 to Varsity.&#x20;

Boys divisions play three guaranteed games on October 11, while girls divisions compete in 8v8 small-sided matches concluding by 2:00 PM on October 10, perfect for homecoming festivities.&#x20;

Midwest Fall Brawl Lacrosse Tournament

The **2nd Annual Comet Classic** is a collegiate bowling tournament hosted by The University of Olivet.  This one day event taking place at Royal Scot Golf & Bowl will feature approximately 30 teams.
